Bishop Kearney Ready for the New School Year
Now Serving Students Grades 7-12
It's hard to believe that the 2008-09 school year is here! We're pleased to have welcomed nearly 170 7th and 8th graders to the Kearney family! We have exceeded enrollment expectations--the response to our new Junior High at Bishop Kearney has been overwhelming. And 450 senior high students are filling the halls here with the terrific sounds of a new school year.
All of our students—including Junior High, are taking advantage of the state-of-the art technology in every classroom, including a laptop for every student's use! Our innovative curriculum and technology program—focused on 21st century skills for the real world in every class—to enhance our core curriculum—is now getting national attention. We've been invited to present our program to educators from across the country at two national events this year. They're eager to hear about our success and how we did it!
If you're interested in becoming a Bishop Kearney student--in grades 7-12, please come to our OPEN HOUSE, Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Also don't miss an opportunity to set up a shadow visit for your student, by calling Director of Student Affairs Anita Nagel at 585-342-4000 x246.
Thanks for your interest and participation at Kearney, where every day we strive to live up to the values set forth by our Christian Brothers founders, and live out our school motto: Fac Omnia Bene—Do All Things Well!
