BK Student Anna Glessner Elected Lieutenant Governor of Local High School Key Clubs

Student-led Key Clubs, part of Kiwanis International, support children worldwide

Anna Glessner, a Bishop Kearney High School student and a Kearney Key Club member, has been elected Lieutenant Governor of the New York District Division 23 Key Clubs.

In this role, Glessner will lead the Key Clubs of numerous local high schools, including Bishop Kearney, Brighton, Canandaigua, East, Penfield, Victor, Wayne, Webster Schroeder and Webster Thomas. She will support these clubs' efforts and help create new and innovative division-wide projects.

Glessner became the new Lieutenant Governor at the 62nd Annual New York District Leadership Training Conference in Monticello, N.Y. She resides in Webster, N.Y.

As a member of the Kearney Key Club, Anna Glessner has led such projects as Links for Love, which raised funds for children's books for individual class libraries at School 25. Paper links were sold for 25 cents, and the class with the longest chain won a dress-down day. She also has participated in the children's Christmas party at Rochester School No. 25. Each year, the Bishop Kearney Key Club wraps presents and brings them to School 25 – giving presents to children who may not receive one otherwise.
