Class of ’75 Scholarship Fund

Our classmate and friend Terry Principe has left us suddenly and way too soon.

From his recent obituary:

Terry went on to attend Bishop Kearney High School, again establishing himself as a born leader and loved by all who knew him.  He served as class treasurer and eventually Class President.”

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM on Saturday, July 14th at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Rd.

As Terry was a trusted and well-liked class leader, a small group of classmates decided to make him proud and make sure his legacy is carried on through the next generation of student leaders at our beloved alma mater, Bishop Kearney.

We are joining together as a class to honor Terry’s life and accomplishments by creating The Class of 1975 Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student with financial need who is also a proven leader in the classroom, on the field, on stage or in student government.

We have come together as a group with an initial commitment of $2,000 to this scholarship fund. We now challenge you to honor what Terry meant to our class with a gift in his memory. Bishop Kearney will alert Terry’s family of the names of his 1975 classmates who contribute. We will formally announce the creation of this scholarship and how much has been raised after his funeral on July 14th. We would be thrilled to get to $10,000 by then.

Gifts to the 1975 Scholarship Fund may be made via cash, check or credit card. Click the “donate” button below  to make your gift today!

Please indicate 1975 Scholarship in the comment box.

Bishop Kearney will select the student in September and introduce us to the recipient at that time.
