Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature

Hollywood, California –   Bishop Kearney graduates James Hasman and Brian Menz took home Academy Awards on Sunday night for their work on Disney’s Zootopia, which won for Best Animated Feature Film.

They were both part of the animation team for the film, and had also been nominated for their animation work on another contender for this year’s Best Animated Feature, Moana.

Hasman is a 1988 Bishop Kearney graduate. Menz graduated from the school in 1997.

Menz had previously won awards for his role on the animation team for Frozen and Big Hero 6. Hasman won for his role on the animation team for Frozen.
