PACE Gift Card Sale

February 9, 2015

Get a head start on your shopping for Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduations, Summer activities and help out the Bishop Kearney Class of 2015!

The PACE team is once again offering a Gift Card Sale. These gift cards are the same as the gift cards you buy in stores. You pay the face value of the card and Bishop Kearney receives a percentage of the sale.

PACE, Parents Against Chemical Excess, provides seniors with the opportunity to celebrate their four years at BK together in an environment that is safe and free from chemical stimulants. This celebration is filled with fun, entertainment, food, and mementos for the entire class, and has come to be an anticipated institution for our seniors.

To accomplish this, each year we look for significant support from the community. The Spring Gift Card Sale is one fundraiser to help support the PACE party.  Click on this order form that includes a list of the gift cards we are offering for sale.  Send order forms and checks made out to Bishop Kearney High School to the school office by Wed. Mar 4.

Gift cards pick up times will be the week of March 16 and information will be emailed to those purchasing cards.

God is good

Thank you!

The Builders Club would like to warmly thank the many individuals and families who contributed to Bishop Kearney’s Gift of Warmth winter clothing drive. Thanks to your generosity, this year’s drive was a huge success! Here are the grand totals: 56 coats (that is almost double the amount from last year), 47 hats, 66 sets of gloves/mittens, 31 scarves, 45 sweatshirts/sweaters (many in black and red for the Wilson scholars), 7 snow pants, 7 pairs of socks, and 1 pair of boots.

We plan to hold this drive again next January, so please hang on to any winter gear that your children outgrow this winter!

As I was sorting and counting the items last weekend, I was nearly in tears thinking about the generosity of your donations. One particular donation caught my eye: it was one that someone had placed in a gift bag. How perfect! All these clothes are truly a gift.

We delivered the clothing to Wilson Foundation Academy on Thursday—it actually took us two car trips! When Mr. Walker, the security guard at Wilson, saw all the bags of clothes, he summed it up beautifully: “God is good.”

Again, thank you so very much.
