On July 14th, Bishop Kearney honored a very deserving, long time dedicated family member. School President, Tom O’Neil, made the announcement at the Bishop Kearney Golf Tournament which took place at the Monroe Golf Club, that Bishop Kearney has named its baseball field after Carm Urzetta. Carm came to BK in 1964 as a devoted and adored teacher. During his time at BK he shared his passion for baseball as a coach for 23 years where he touched the lives of his players both on and off the field. This year marks his 50th year of loyal dedication and service to Bishop Kearney where he has also served as a teacher, coach, in alumni relations and development, and now as a part time Special Assistant. In these past 50 years, Carm has connected with and influenced countless young men and women. His loyalty, dedication and generosity towards our school family are beyond measure and naming our baseball field after Carm was the most fitting tribute for him. The date of the official dedication will be announced as soon as possible on our school website.
