On Monday, May 5th, Bishop Kearney will celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice. Blessed Edmund Rice was born in Callan, Ireland in 1762. He is a man who made it his mission to give an education to the poor in Ireland. He established an Order called the Christian Brothers. In the 1820, Pope Pius the VII recognized the brothers as a papal Institute. Bishop Kearney High School is a Christian Brothers school, and so Alum from the class of 1969, Father Lanzalaco, CSB, will offer the Mass at 9:20am in the school auditorium. All are welcome to attend.
