Bishop Kearney is the only school in upstate New York that devotes an entire school day to community service to kick of Thanksgiving week. There were no classes on campus today so that students and faculty could devote a full day to performing community service. Students were all over school making jewelry, cooking, baking, wrapping presents, putting together food baskets, making chew toys for therapy dogs, writing holiday cards to veterans, and making deliveries off campus to those in need. This BK tradition serves our mission and let’s the BK family give back to those less fortunate who need a helping hand. Thank you to our 6th graders for a wonderful prayer service and presentation on their patron saints to kick off the day of service.
